Tego (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a cloud-based SaaS platform (Tego Hub), companion apps (Tego Connect for iOS, Android, Windows), and Tego Background Service (Windows) for asset management within organizations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide secure access and core functionality:

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, and phone number (used for authentication, notifications, and account management).
  • Photos/Videos: If using our mobile apps, we may collect photos or videos you choose to capture or upload for asset management and sharing within your organization (your tenant).
  • Location Data: Collected in-app to associate assets with your physical location and deliver relevant notifications.
  • Calendar: Accessed only to provide reminders related to assets, if you opt in.
  • Biometric Authentication (Face ID, Touch ID): Used for secure authentication where supported.

Granting access to camera, photos, location, calendar, or biometric authentication is optional. Certain features require these permissions, but core platform functions remain accessible without them. Permissions can always be managed via your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

  • Authenticate your account and provide secure access to services.
  • Send notifications about your account, service updates, or relevant activities.
  • Allow upload and review of asset images/videos within your organization.
  • Provide location-based asset management and notifications.
  • Enable reminders via calendar integration.
  • Support secure login using biometric authentication (where supported).

Permissions (Mobile App)

Our mobile apps request the following permissions to support asset documentation and secure access:

  • Camera: To capture images of assets.
  • Photo Library: To select or upload asset images.
  • Location: To determine the asset’s location and deliver relevant notifications.
  • Calendar: To add asset-related reminders at your request.
  • Face ID: To authenticate your access to the app.

Data Protection: Protection of Your Information

  • We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information, including encryption and access control.
  • Access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill contractual obligations, or comply with legal requirements. Data is securely deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

Data Sharing: Sharing of Information

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or legal process.
  • All uploaded data is accessible only within your organization (tenant).

Tego Hub, Tego Connect, and Tego Background Service are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We ensure that:

  • Personal data is collected only for legitimate business purposes.

Our services are designed for enterprise use and are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

International Users

Data may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries. By using Tego Hub, you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing.
